Big Beautiful Bill in Our Community – Community Safety Summit

July 30 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Join the York County SafetyCollab for their July Safety Summit! Melissa Leathery, Executive Director of York County Human Services, will lead a guided discussion on the potential impact of the Big Beautiful Bill on essential benefits programs, including SNAP and Medicare. Together, we’ll explore what these changes could mean for our community and engage in a collaborative conversation about strategies to support our most vulnerable neighbors. This is an important opportunity for community partners to connect, share insights, and identify ways we can work together to help those most in need.

Mapping Youth Support in York County
Following the discussion, attendees will take a deeper look at the challenges facing young people in the community through case studies based on real-life situations. The goal is to have as many service providers present as possible so we know exactly what is available in our community and what is missing. This is particularly important during the summer months when we normally see an increase in violence.
